Closed Cell Mass Loaded Vinyl Barrier (MLVB) is standard non-reinforced 1lb per square foot barrier (1/8") with an AP-Armaflex closed cell foam decoupler (1/4") for a total thickness of 3/8". Typical applications for closed cell mass loaded vinyl barrier are retrofit wall applications where the Closed Cell Mass Loaded Vinyl is tacked or adhered to the existing sheetrock and another layer of sheetrock is applied over the material. Other applications include enclosures and car audio sound dampening.

Note: Open cell MLVB can be used as a flooring underlayment, but it is not recommended.
